HOLY SNOW

Stephen and I had such great plans for this weekend! It was going to be Stephen's birthday celebration all weekend in Utah. We were going to go to the Utah vs. Wyoming game, eat at rodizios, hang out with family, and basically just get out of dodge. Stephen's sister was even going to make him Texas Gold Bars. These plans have been going in our minds for the WHOLE MONTH.

And then came the snow.

Tuesday night it began to snow and Laramie was under a winter storm warning. It continued to snow all Wednesday and all Thursday. We're thinkin this has gotta clear up. The roads are totally going to open.

No...not so much. Friday came and went. (and of course school is not canceled.) Twelve inches of snow later and the roads stayed closed. The Walmart parking lot was almost full with cemis. Even Kmart had cemis! Wyoming even got Colorado to close I-25 heading North because Cheyenne had reached its capacity of stranded cemis. I-80 opened up today at 11:00. We realized it was too late to get to Utah, but Rock Springs would do! I've never seen us move so fast! We just wanted to beat the cemis coming from Cheyenne to the interstate. We packed, went to the post office, grabbed some tools from the storage shed, filled up with gas, and were on the interstate in a half hour!

So now here I sit in the comfort of my inlaws house, eating chinese takeout and watching the game as trick or treaters frequent the door.....frequent the door....does that make sense? I don't know, but WYOMING IS WINNING! Go pokes!

And Happy Halloween :)
